I work as a security guard at a nice business building in Irvine. I will say Its the nicest place I have ever worked at in security and the majority of the people are really nice and really nothing much happens there which is awesome. My question who is my boss really the engineer, day porter the employees of the building sometimes I get talked to like there my boss and I really just work for the building and what's funny I hardly even hear from my own company. Then there's the ones who think I am like a cop and actually have that type of authority huh people are crazy. I'm just trying to figure out security to me I am more of a lobby person greeter than anything. It just cracks me up I can tell people no smoking is allowed only in designated areas they don't listen. I just ignore it but this is everywhere I know security isn't looked at as a good job and when something happens I know I am the first to go to or blame I get it I have been around. I am thankful for being placed at a great location where most people are really cool but never again once I get out of doing security never again its just not me. I have to be doing something with my hands my mind that's why I love the arts so much anyways I know I am just rambling on just my take on being a security guard.
